Welcome to our SLT video page and channel. The purpose is to try to communicate clearer and to support our community to know what we are doing and, importantly, why we are doing it. We thought that, by using different channels, hopefully most (if not all) of our families will be able to have a clearer view of what is going on.

It’s an added extra, in the way that our Facebook page gives some behind the scenes glimpses - we know that not everyone uses Facebook. We also have our website calendar which we endeavour to keep up to date with and we use our newsletter, Fellside Matters, which comes out every week. If you’re a parent or guardian and don’t receive the newsletter, please contact our main office and we’ll get that sorted for you. 

Each week, a member of our Leadership Team will share the focus of our assemblies. Monday assemblies are often a time of reflection or whole school teaching and this knowledge might be useful for those of you who want to extend the conversation at home. 

We’ll also share our Friday “Seven C” focus. You may want to talk to your child about our learning values and how important they are to becoming a successful learner.

Our videos will also share any staff training or professional development happening. It is important to me for our community to know how hard our team works behind the scenes in developing their knowledge in the pursuit of supporting your children.

Each week, our senior leadership team has a focus. Again, I believe that it’s important to share this with you as there can sometimes be misconceptions about how time is used when we aren’t directly in front of children. Everything we do is focused on ensuring all of our children can learn and be safe.

We will share reminders about visits or visitors happening in school and we will also share any information about special events. This information will have already been shared in our Fellside Matters newsletter but it might be useful for some of you to have an audible reminder.

It is worth keeping in mind that schools are constantly evolving and at the point of recording any video, information may already be out of date. That’s the nature of schools. The very best thing to do is to ensure you receive our eSchools messages and weekly newsletters.
