Hello and welcome to Nursery’s home page where we will be sharing our wonderful adventures that we enjoy during our time here.

Young children thrive through play. Here at Fellside Nursery, we champion play to allow your child to develop the social, emotional, and personal skills needed to create a strong foundation. This allows them to flourish in later academic life. We also teach necessary and important skills and knowledge over each of our half termly topics, appropriate to our learners’ developmental stage.   

Our nursery children learn through exciting and engaging activities, a balance of adult led, and child initiated, which are planned to motivate and inspire our young learners to flourish in all aspects of life. We give your child’s journey in education a fantastic start as they get to explore the fun, exciting and nurturing world of Nursery and develop their independence, emotional intelligence and their sense of self.

Children in Nursery are supported, nurtured and are encouraged to become their best self while with us, and we hope the children leave ready to tackle the world of school.

Children in our Nursery have three extremely experienced members of staff working with them across the week. Mrs Greenwood and Mrs McCaig are the class teachers and share the class, with Mrs Greenwood working with them Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning and Mrs McCaig working with them Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday. Mrs Clark is the teaching assistant and works Monday to Friday. We ensure that planning is conducted as a team to ensure the highest quality of care and education for your child.
