Fellside Community Primary School

In Reception class we made a sukkot in the outdoor area. Jewish people build these shelters during Harvest and spend time there with family and friends.  While they are in their sukkot, they share fruit and vegetables and thank God for their successful harvest.
We spent time in our sukkot thinking of the food we share at harvest.
Do you like our shelter? We had great fun building it on a rather windy day!

We enjoyed playing with the Autumn leaves in our outdoor area.

The new Reception class have enjoyed many activities during their first week at Fellside. They have shared a variety of experiences both inside and outside and have made new friends already.
We hope they continue to flourish during their time at Fellside.

Today Year Six began their teacher training as they introduced the Reception class to the Mathletics programme in the ICT suite. What a joy it was to watch our oldest and youngest children work together. 

Speaking, listening, patience and

understanding all came into play.

Reception class had a fantastic time on Thursday 7th February celebrating Chinese New Year.
We tried different creative activities and worked with many parents during the day.

The children in Reception Class have settled into school life so well.
They have learnt new routines and love all the different areas in their new classroom.
