Our favourite animals
We have been thinking about animals in nursery.
Outdoors, children have been collecting twigs and sticks to make a jungle for the animals in the sand.

'Elmer The Patchwork Elephant' is a favourite in nursery. Everyone painted an elephant and glued on coloured squares. Can you see lots of elephants hiding in the jungle?
The children have also been painting 'Elmer' on the interactive whiteboard.
Fun in the sand.
We love to dig in the wet and dry sand in nursery.
The children are digging with trowels to find hidden vegetables in the sand.
It's fun to find and match the plant pot with the same picture as the vegetable.
As part of the nursery topic on Animals/Birds, all the children have been making bird cakes. If you would like the recipe please follow the instructions below.

A warm welcome to you and your child.
I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you for making Lynn and Anna so welcome when they visited you in your home. Experience has shown that this opportunity of making links with home and nursery is so valuable in helping your child settle quickly into nursery.
