On Tuesday 31st January 2012 children from Year 2 went to Fellside Methodist Church, to take part in a pretend traditional wedding ceremony.
All of the children had special roles to play, a bride, brides mother and father, a groom, his mother and father, a best man, 5 bridesmaids, 2 ushers and of course a photographer. The rest of the children were either guests of the bride or the groom. Parents were also invited and were part of the congregation.
Everyone took their role seriously, performed beautifully throughout the service, and like a real wedding everybody had a wonderful time. Thank you to all our guests for coming and to Paul Saunders for the lovely service.
On Thursday 2nd February, the children enjoyed a reception party at school in the hall, where they toasted the bride and groom. The bride and groom cut the cake then had their first dance. The rest of the guests, including Year one joined in the celebration and waltzed away too.
Enjoy the Animoto of our special day and the photograph collage made with the photographs taken by our Year 2 wedding photographer! A very important royal person is having a special celebration soon and is also going to have a collage. We are so pleased our school did it first.

I really enjoyed the wedding and the children all looked like they had a great time too.
