Year 1 Mask Making with Rose

Creative Partnerships Project - Mask Making with Rose

In March, we first met Rose Furlonger who is an artist. She came in to meet us and to show her huge collection of interesting masks. This helped us think about what sorts of masks we would like to make ourselves.

Rose has a good many masks as you can see.

Rose made this wonderful Indian Prince for a play. Isn't he handsome?

We started making our own masks. It was a very sticky and messy business!

We made amazing masks of beautiful mermaids, skeleton pirates from Davy Jones' Locker, a selection of pirates and some of the creatures that are to be found on a treasure island like cheeky baboons and colourful parrots.
