After a very tiring time for all, Year 6 had a treat week to celebrate the end of SATS.
The first treat was to make fruit flavoured ice cream and cup cakes.
Then on Monday, Year 6 visited Chase Park in Whickham. The day started with a treasure hunt- alongside the normal empty crisp packets, cans, and water bottles, a few unusual objects were found. After a pack lunch the children played cricket and rounders, then finished off with piggy back races.
On Tuesday the children made skillasaurus dinosaurs out of card and paper.
On Thursday Year 6 took part in a pizza making experience at Franky & Bennys. They learned about food hygiene while making healthy pizzas with their own choice of toppings. The final treat was to devour their delicious creations!
When we got back to school on Thursday we watched our favourite film, our extra treat was popcorn and the ice cream we had made ealier in the week.
Everyone enjoyed the activities in treat week and are now looking forward to our enterprise project. Don't forget to leave a comment about your favourite treat.
