Years 5 and 6 became evacuees for the day when they visited Beamish Open Air Museum before the half term holiday. They learned what it was like to leave the city and work on a farm as some children might have done during the Second World War. They tried out many activities they have never done before for example they made cottage cheese, prepared for a blackout, stuffed mattresses and wrapped potatoes. Many thanks to everyone who helped them to find their fabulous costumes, they really did look authentic.
