Picture the scene: our unwitting hero is innocently wandering along minding their own business. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a hole appears in the ground below and swallows them up. What on earth will happen next?
This is a possible starting point for the children's adventure stories in Literacy. So, in ICT, we recorded this scenario as a sound file. We used microphones, headphones and the Audacity software to record and manipulate the sounds that might occur as our brave main character disappears into another world.
The class used the Amplify and Echo effects within the software to create these files. Click below to hear some examples of their work.
