In the burial tombs the walls were covered with beautiful paintings. By studying these, archaeologists have learned much about what life was like more than 3000 years ago. The paintings always represented various aspects of the dead person's life - their occupation, hobbies, appearance etc.

Y3 tried to replicate some of these tomb painting scenes in the style of the Ancient Egyptian artists. They tried to mix the colours to make accurate copies.

The Ancient Egyptians worshipped many Gods each with a different role. Often they had the heads of animals. Y3 enjoyed making some artefacts about the Gods and also about life in Ancient Egypt.
